Applied research
During the last 50 years all major term dictionaries in Lithuania have been compiled with the assistance of terminologists of the Institute of the Lithuanian Language. The ILL researchers work as members of the teams of dictionary compilers, provide consultations for the compilers, are experts of the National Term Bank of Lithuania. The fourth edition of the Dictionary is available online at: http://www.autoinfa.lt/webdic/, the last, sixth edition has been released on a CD (ISBN 978-9955-704-37-9, 2006).

Projects
In 2005-2006 the Centre of Terminology participated in the EC eCONTENT Project EUROTERMBANK devoted to the collection of European terminological resources and jointly implemented by terminological institutions. The Project resulted in a terminology portal in eight languages (www.eurotermbank.com). It is a European term bank linked to other resources of terms. Scientific awards of the decade
The electronic version of the Dictionary of Contemporary Lithuanian (Dabartinės lietuvių kalbos žodynas) at the exhibition Infobalt was recognised as the best ITT product in science in 2004. Assoc.Prof. Dr Stasys Keinys received the Language (Felicija Bortkevičienė’s) Award of the Commission of Preserving Lithuanian Traditions and Heritage, 2005.

Vinogradov Institute of the Russian Language, Institute of the Latvian Language at the University of Latvia, Information Processing Centre (Poland); language technology company Tildė (Latvija), MorphoLogic (Hungary) etc. In 2003, the Institute of the Lithuanian Language concluded a bilateral agreement with the International Information Centre for Terminology. As a result, the ILL Centre of Terminology joined the INFOTERM as a full member; Dr Albina Auksoriūtė, Head of the Centre, became member of the board. In 2006 the Centre joined the European Association of Terminology (EAFT).
